The angel in my eyes

The dark clouds have not yet broken,
It’s been quite a while ,
And through the darkness I see you,
The angel in my eyes.

The darkness threatens to engulf me,
The sun refuses to shine,
And yet I walk this stony path,
Guided by your light.

Distant but never too far,
You occupy every thought of mine ,
And yet when I work at getting to you,
It seems a million miles.

Your radiant face beckons me,
I’m driven by your smile,
And yet you seem too far away,
Far away from my life.

A hundred voices in my head,
Wonder how I survive,
That's when I smile and point at you,
The angel in my eyes.
