These lights have lighted up this city tonight,
Into a brilliant flame of fire,
and beyond it's edges I am gazing out,
Into this dark ocean of desire.
A faint drizzle upon a stony ledge,
I wonder when it will pour,
This sullen heart needs to quench it's thirst,
It always seems to want so much more.
These droplets of water may drench me today.
Yet I will be here, I refuse to run.
I am here, standing alone, waiting to meet you,
Destiny, in pursuit of you I myself have come.
